You show me a person that assumes, and Ill show you a person that almost daily is disappointed. Without any question, these are the two questions. You grow into an opportunity. One of the things that I want to challenge you to do is I want you to pick up this book, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John Maxwell. Or if you need to control them. Then maybe never look at it again. What did you learn? You better be ready to answer that question, because he just models that. It really started their way before the growth plan that well get to. I started in December, its now January, and I loved it. You got to grow on purpose, and so I started. And so the idea that I mean here we are, 2023, we are just beginning. Are you, my dear podcast listener, are you focused on growth? Were not going to edit it out first, but heres why. Mahatma Gandhi said, We must be the change that we envision. Tolstoy said, Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. And the first comment I would like to make is this when one person cannot change another person. Before the growth plan, it started with I read a book I think I have recommended on the podcast, Chris. I thought, Oh, thats so good. And it was that passion behind John that he said, Im going to write this book about change your world. And again, for our YouTube viewers, Im holding this up. Him recognizing change as growth might be an intentional decision to recognize change as growth. Ive been around the block a few times. I mean, I just worked real hard and, All right, Im going to give them thoughts and ideas and principles and Im going to change people. And after several years, sadly, it took me a long time, you have to understand I was a slow learner, okay? Thats what I have found. Well, today were going to talk just about that. One in a million, theres still a chance. So I always equate change and I know change can be disruptive, Ive had those moments of having that perspective and even experienced disruptive change. John says early on in the lesson, What are you doing to develop yourself and others? I know that we are growing. How many times have you heard somebody say, I sure hope things will change. Come on, raise your hand. And much of that change starts with you, the leader. Yeah. I dont think weve ever complimented one another as much as we did yesterday in that meeting.
